This Monday the director of the Social Security Fund (CSS) Enrique Lau Cortés assured that as long as he is in charge of the entity, it will not be privatized.
«I want to leave a very clear message; while I am here, the Social Security Fund is not going to be privatized », she emphasized.
During the Monday civic event at the Clayton facilities, Cortés took the opportunity to denounce an alleged smear campaign to change the administration model of this noble institution.
He specified that the campaign seeks to label the CSS and its officials, in order to propose solutions that change the way the institution has been administered.
«We had warned that there is a campaign out there that seeks to discredit us. I think they chose a wrong path,” she said.
“This strategy is being used with the purpose of damaging the reputation of those of us who are here, so it gives rise to other solutions, such as that this noble institution is managed with another style,” he stressed.
He stated that these sectors that push this strategy seek to achieve privatization but will not succeed.
Lau Cortés also highlighted the work of young health professionals in the country for their commitment and dedication to patient care and urged administrative officials to continue improving care for policyholders.
