About twenty movie posters made by the Spanish-Mexican filmmaker Luis Buñuel (1900-1983) remains on display since this Saturday at the 23 and 12 cinema in the Cuban capital as part of the activities of 46 Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.
The sample combines the original posters of iconic Buñuel films as Viridiana, That dark object of desire either The exterminating angelwith their respective versions through the ingenuity of Cuban designers, according to the organizers.
Luis Buñuel, 125th anniversary is the title of the selection that will remain open throughout the month of December in the lobby of the 23 y 12 cinemain the capital’s Vedado neighborhood, one of the Festival venues.

The Festival
The film competition opened its doors last Thursday and will remain active until December 14.
The appointment has a selection of 222 works on display from 42 countriesamong which, in addition to Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia stand out.
The Coral awards ceremony is scheduled for December 12.
The Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema opened its doors for the first time on December 3, 1979, conceived as a continuation of the festivals in Viña del Mar (1967 and 1969), Mérida (1968 and 1977) and Caracas (1974).
Since then, it has brought together prestigious Cuban filmmakers and from other parts of the world around Latin American filmography, and represents one of the sector’s leaders in Latin America.
