The Latam group announced the purchase of 24 Embraer aircraft. THE Agreement provides for 50 more units (purchase options). To the First aircraft should be delivered in the second half of 2026. 
THE Agreement has a value of US $ 2.1 billion. The E195-E2 model will reinforce the regional operations of the airline. The model has flight autonomy on a continental scale, linking cities like São Paulo and Lima, for example.
“The Lamt Group’s decision is based on the excellent efficiency of Embraer E195-E2 and its versatility, which will allow us to follow our growth trajectory with profitability, expanding this connectivity by opening new destinations, offering even more options to our passengers, bringing communities closer and also boosting economic and social development,” said Roberto Tarrat, CEO of Latam Airlines Group, through a note.
In its fleet, the group already has Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Embraer, the leader in the manufacture of commercial jets of up to 150 seats, already serves Azul.
The announcement was celebrated by the federal government. In a post on social networks, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said that the purchase of aircraft consolidates Embraer “as one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world and strengthens our industry and our air sector. More employment, income and development for Brazil.”
Port and airport minister Silvio Costa Filho stressed that investments will generate more than 2,000 direct jobs, “in addition to expanding our connectivity in the country and South America, mainly strengthening Brazil’s regional aviation. This dialogues with the growth of aviation, with the strengthening of business and leisure tourism, which generate employment and income in Brazil,” he said in a statement.
Embraer products were included in the 50% tariff imposed by the United States over Brazil. However, the Manufacturer got rid of taxation at the end of Julywhen the Trump government announced a list of about 700 products considered exceptions, which included aircraft, engines, parts and aviation components.

Embraer’s shares closed at B3 (São Paulo Stock Exchange), up 4.63%, and on the New York Stock Exchange, with a 4.02%increase.
Latam was up 0.95% on the New York Stock Exchange.
