MIAMI, United States. – An electrical failure at the “Joaquín Albarrán” Clinical Surgical Hospital, known as Clínico de 26, caused the urgent evacuation of patients in serious and critical condition to other health facilities in Havana, on the afternoon of this Thursday.
A collaborator of CubaNetwhose identity has been protected to avoid reprisals against him, entered the hospital at the time the evacuation was taking place and was able to capture some images.
According to the information provided by the hospital management to the relatives of the transferred patients, the failure was due to a fire, which was quickly controlled but caused the power outage.
Several people who were in the health facility during the incident informed the collaborator of CubaNet who had access to the hospital that initially “the smell of gas was felt and then there was a fire that affected the electrical wiring.”
