In a few hours, Uruguay and the world will give themselves again to celebrate a new anniversary for the Workers Day. Likewise, emphasis will be placed on those that remain to be conquered, under the curtain of an interconnected and constantly changing world.
In our country during the hours prior to the celebration, different services begin to diminish to make way for the arrival of the enigmatic date.
In our country, as far as passenger transport is concerned; from the National Union of Workers and Transport Workers (UNOTT) it was indicated that the last departures this April 30, are at 7:00 p.m. After that, the services will begin to suffer more and more gradually.
The schedule monopolizes the Urban services for Montevideo, Suburban services corresponding to the metropolitan area and the interdepartmental services of the entire country.
From the Trade Union Association of Cooperatives and Transport Workers (ASCOT), it was reported that all urban and suburban lines will leave for the last time at 6:59 p.m. on April 30. The vehicles will return to the workshops at 7:29 p.m. on Saturday and the collection of mobile phones will take place at 8:29 p.m.
Other services for May 1
With regard to large stores such as the shopping centers of Montevideo and Canelones, these will remain closed on May 1. Supermarket branches such as Devoto and Tienda Inglesa will also remain closed in Montevideo. Services will be restored normally from 00:00 on May 2.
