The Inumet portal estimates a decrease in cloud cover for Tuesday night, when the cold wave will no longer apply.
The lowest temperature record during the weekend was at dawn on Sunday in Minas (-1.3°C), followed by -0.2°C in Florida, -0.1°C in Treinta y Tres, 0.1°C in Soriano and 0.8°C in San Jose.
Although Montevideo was not included among the areas affected by the cold wave, the low thermal sensations led the Ministry of Social Development (Mides) to deploy a special operation in coordination with Defense, Interior, ASSE and the Congress of Mayors.
