Las Bambas: new stoppage would generate daily losses of S/ 2 million for Apurímac

The Apurimac Chamber of Commerce (CCA) warned that a new stoppage of It will generate daily losses of S/ 2 million for the region, in addition to directly affecting 75,000 families.

“The cessation of operations of Las Bambas announced for this February 20 and that would be generated by the Cusco communities and the ineffectiveness of the Central Government would harm all of us from Apurim”he pointed out in a statement.

The Apurimenian companies demanded a solution to the conflict that, they consider, is detrimental to their region, but the Cusco government is the protagonist.

Las Bambas, located in Apurímac, announced the cessation of its operations after members of the community of Ccapacmarca (Cusco) blocked the road, preventing their work.

“We demand that the principle of authority be imposed and exemplary sanctions be imposed on those who commit crimes by taking roads and violating the rights of natural and legal persons in the Apurímac region”he added.
