The Electoral Justice reported that 822 people requested to be part of the electoral accessibility mechanisms for the elections of April 30, 2023, thus making a total of 5,610 requests from people interested in accessing this benefit, compared to the previous elections.
The three locations with the most requests are Asunción with 324 requests, Luque with 134 and Lambaré with 77. “On September 5, the verification process will begin to see how many requests will be approved to vote through the Vote at Home,” explained Daisy Llano, director of Electoral Services.
Voters residing in the cities of Asunción, Capiatá, Fernando de la Mora, Lambaré, Luque, Mariano Roque Alonso, Ñemby, San Lorenzo, Villa Elisa, Coronel Oviedo, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación and Villa Hayes, will also have the possibility of accessing to the electoral accessibility mechanism.
