Lara electrical workers denounce violations of their rights before the Labor Inspectorate

The demonstrations of the workers of the sector have been reproduced in the nation. Workers in the electricity sector protested on the morning of Monday, August 29, in the state of Falcón to demand labor demands from the government.

The general secretary of the Electrical Workers Union of Lara state, Oswaldo Méndez, called on the entity’s Pío Tamayo Labor Inspectorate to attend to the calls made by Corpoelec employees and retirees, given the violations to your rights.

“We want the inspector, Nahomi Fonseca, to take on the cases of the workers. We see how the processes are delayed, while at the moment the active and retired people hate the current management of Corpoelec Lara”, said Méndez.

“We went to this instance, which must be in defense of the workers to demand answers to the cases of Carora’s colleagues, who have been referred in their cases by different entities. We have the cases of the deterioration of the institution’s journalists who have been working in a corridor for a year, we have the cases of payroll blockages, to which there are no answers either,” Méndez specified.

The workers’ representative demanded a work table, which he said has been requested on several occasions and has not been installed, which makes it seem that there was no interest in resolving the problems and needs of the workers of this company.

Méndez specified that the Inspectorate must report whether or not it is capable of responding to their requirements, in order to then be able to go to other instances, since the regular channel is running out. Finally, the trade unionist maintained that the workers of the state company are still waiting for the response of the inspector Nahomi Fonseca, who in three months has not responded to the requests of these employees.
