The director of the ATTT recalled that 100% capacity will be allowed within the school buses as long as the students comply with biosecurity measures such as the use of a mask and face shield.
As of this Wednesday, March 9, the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) will carry out operations in different parts of the country to verify that those who provide the school bus service have the appropriate certification, issued by the entity.
According to the director of the ATTT, Carlos Ordoñez, during the inspection it will be verified that the school buses have the stickers that certify that they passed all the inspections and therefore meet the necessary requirements to offer the service.
Ordoñez also referred to the taxi-type vehicles that offer the school transportation service and said that those who make contracts to provide this service are breaking the law, therefore they will be sanctioned.
He assured that a taxi driver, who is a close relative of a student, can take him to school, or even if the student boards the vehicle on the street without an advance contract, this is allowed since it would be a collective service.
