At a press conference held at the Municipal Headquarters of Río Branco, members of the organization and the Mayor of the Municipality of Laguna Merín gave details of a new edition of Sirenita Merín and Por Siempre Sirenas.

“This shows that you can work together, both the private sector and the Municipality. “It is the first time that there is a Mayor’s Office in Laguna Merín and we have these two events that are very important” said Rodolfo Conde.
“As soon as we took office, back in July, Lyra scheduled a meeting with us and proposed the organization of that great event like the Little Mermaid. We talked about it with the Council, it was a big challenge because it is a very important activity that involves girls. We know that we have to work very well” remarked the Mayor of the Municipality of Laguna Merín.
“Through the Council we decided to ask for the support of Karim Da Rosa, who is the one who is going to be giving us a hand in this, he is the one who is taking charge of this great event” he stated.
Conde thanked both the Municipality of Río Branco and the Departmental Administration of Cerro Largo for their support.
40 REGISTERED GIRLS FROM URUGUAY, MEXIDO AND BRAZIL
“Little Mermaid Merín will be taking place in Laguna on Sunday, January 18 in the afternoon” confirmed Karim Da Rosa.
“We have everything already stipulated and organized. 40 girls from all over the department registered, even this time a binational category was created because there are girls who are not from Uruguay. We have little girls who will arrive from Mexico and Brazil as well” projection.
