It is officially confirmed: singer Lady Gaga will be the big attraction of another free mega show at Copacabana Beach, on May 3 this year. Big names in world music are expected to perform on the edge of Rio de Janeiro at free shows, always in May, by 2028.
The project Everyone in Rio It was announced on Friday (21) by producer Bonus Track, responsible for organizing the show of singer Madonna, which attracted 2.5 million people last year.
Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, CEO of the producer, stressed that events of this size bring many benefits to the city: “both from an economical, tourist and image of the city, the projection of the good things that Rio de Janeiro has”.
He also said that the attractions of the next editions will be analyzed year by year, considering artists of great impact.
The mega show of singer Lady Gaga will be sponsored by private companies with the support of the State Government and the City of Rio de Janeiro.
The amount of public investment has not yet been released, but the City Hall’s Secretary of Culture, Lucas Faria recalled that Madonna’s show had a financial impact of 300 million reais, well above the support granted:
“He mobilized Brazil, mobilized companies and brands and showed that this model works. “Everyone in Rio” becomes a public policy. ”
Shortly after the announcement, the singer posted a message on her Instagram profile:
“It’s a great honor to be invited to sing to Rio – throughout my career, fans in Brazil have been part of the Little Monsters’ life force (the nickname of their fans).”
Lady Gaga also assured that she is working hard to do an unforgettable show.
