The President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, received this Tuesday the 19th, at the Executive Tower, his Ecuadorian counterpart, Guillermo Lasso. The President of the Republic of Ecuador arrived in Uruguay accompanied by his Foreign Minister, Juan Carlos Holguín, the Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries, Julio José Prado; and the Telecommunications and Information Society, Vianna Maíno.
The Uruguayan Foreign Minister, Francisco Bustillo, and his Ecuadorian counterpart, Juan Carlos Holguín, also participated in the meeting between the two presidents. The leaders addressed issues on the common agenda of both countries.
Minutes before meeting with Lacalle Pou, the President of the Republic of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, together with his delegation and the Ecuadorian ambassador to Uruguay, Roberto IIlingworth, left a floral offering at the foot of the monument to José Gervasio Artigas, in Plaza Independencia.
