President Luis Lacalle Pou and his wife Lorraine Ponce de Leon they were shown together this Tuesday for the first time after The Observer reported their separation last Friday. It was in a scheduled activity, which was held in the Assembly Hall of the Executive Tower, in Montevideo.
Ponce de Leon had a core stake in the oratory of the activity, which was attended by authorities, few public (there were several empty seats) and the presence of government authorities.

Neither Lacalle Pou nor Ponce de León made statements to the press after the meeting. In the afternoon, the government summarized the information in a written note that was published on the official website.
In parallel, Ponce de León posted photos on Twitter – in which he appears with his Lacalle Pou – and provided information on the activity. At the moment, both have preferred silence regarding their decision to separate.
Through the second edition of the Sembrando Redes Sociales training cycle, 400 scholarships will be awarded to entrepreneurs from all over the country. According to the Presidency, the initiative will be sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank, Latin Securities and the Bios Institute, which will also teach the course, which will last 20 hours and will be virtual.
Ponce de León highlighted that all the students who attended the first edition of the program completed the training successfully, which is why it was decided to repeat the experience, added to the growing number of interested parties.
Ponce de León currently leads the Sembrando programan initiative in the orbit of the Presidency of the Republic that aims “to stimulate culture and favor the entrepreneurial spirit”.
