The government confirmed that a Cocaine hydrochloride crystallization laboratory (high purity drug) was found owned by Felipe Cáceresthe former anti -drug tsar of Evo Morales. This installation had a production capacity of up to 160 kilos of drugs every 24 hours and stopped working two days before.
“At no time has it been affirmed, that he (Cáceres) owns this laboratory, which has been identified in this first part of the investigation, is that this laboratory is within the plot of Mr. Cáceres, that is why the Public Ministry has determined its apprehension,” said the Minister of Government, Roberto Ríos last night.
He explained that it will be a precautionary judge who defines, today, if the former Minister of Social Defense and controlled substances may defend himself in freedom or will be sent to jail, while investigations last.
Cáceres, 63, was apprehended on Tuesday, during an anti -drug operation, in the domains of the Esmeralda Cocaleros Union, in the Puerto Villarroel municipality in the Carrasco province. The former Vice Minister, former Cocalero and former mayor of Villa Tunari, accompanied Morales for the 14 years of his government.
Ríos also revealed that the cocaine hydrochloride crystallization laboratory, provided with a series of chemical devices and supplies, had a production capacity between 150 and 160 kilos of drugs.

Morales and Ledezma said that the laboratory was abandoned four years ago and that no villager had permission to enter to that sector.
They assured that the cocaine factory was located one kilometer from the property of Cáceres. They justified the presence of former Vice Minister, on the grounds that the inhabitants invited him to work there, for which he bought three plots in that area, in order to install an aggregate collection company (sand and stone), since said material, located in the river, could generate damage to their crops.
However, Ríos denied these statements, ensuring that it is not a process for political purposes and, he said that in the laboratory 2,000 liters of acetate, 50 kilos of activated carbon, 50 kilos of bisulfuto, 40 liters of acid, 200 liters of gasoline and 50 kilos of permanganate, materials used for the manufacture of the drug, also also evidenced that the laboratory stopped working for two days two days, two days before.
On the finding, the expolition and constitutionalist lawyer, Abel Loma, he mentioned that, according to the data provided by officials of the Anti -Drug Force, the laboratory’s location was revealed by another person close to Morales and also processed by drug trafficking, such as Elba Terán, arrested on Sunday, in power of 10 kilos of cocaine, in the municipality of Villa Tunari FURTHER.
The lawyer presumes that Terán released this statement, in order to be favored in the case in which yesterday was sent to jail, for 30 days.
