Dane presented its report on the labor market from the perspective of the Statistical Registry of Labor Relations (Relab) for the month of December, according to which, during the last month of last year there was a growth of 7.9% in contracts or dependent employment relationships.

According to the Dane registry in the Relab, for the last month of the year there were 9.42 million labor relations registered in the Relab, while in December 2020 there were 8.72 million contracts.
Although this represents a significant recovery in the last year, they still have a 3% lagcompared to the 8.99 million dependent contracts that were registered in the country as of December 2019.
As for independent relationships, those in which workers provide their services to third parties with total independence, there was an increase of 4.4% compared to the figures for December 2020. The following year, they had 2.25 millionwhile in the last month of 2020 they were 2.15 million.

This type of independent employment relationship, on the other hand, has a lower lag than dependent contracts, with a 0.9% difference with respect to contracts for the provision of services, with 2.19 million.
