Judge Fátima Veloz, of the Permanent Attention Office of the National District, issued three months of preventive detention against Elizabeth Disla (Caroline and/or La Rabiosa), accused of finishing off with a stab at Juana González Martenthe girl’s great-grandmother Kylie Naomi Rosawho also lost his life during an assault in April of this year.
The precautionary measure will be carried out at the Najayo Mujeres Correction and Rehabilitation Center, in accordance with the decision of Judge Veloz, after accepting the request presented by the Public Ministry.
According to investigative prosecutor José Martínez Cordero, from the Department of Investigation of Crimes and Crimes against the Person (Homicide) of the National District Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred during a attempted aggravated robbery on April 11, 2024, at approximately 4:50 in the morning, on Ramón Cáceres Street No. 192, Las Flores neighborhood in the Cristo Rey sector.
According to the investigations, the accused Elizabeth Disla acted in the company of her ex-partner Erickson Felipe Martínez, alias Tiollowho is a fugitive. The morning of the incident, the victim was surprised at his home when Erickson Felipe Martínez began to check the house. Upon noticing the presence of the intruders, Mrs. González Marten tried to react, but Martínez attacked her by throwing a plaster apple that hit her on the forehead. Later, he put a knife to her neck and, after a struggle, stabbed her. The attackers managed to steal 300,000 thousand pesos in cash, various jewelry and a watch from the house before fleeing the scene.
As a result of the incident, the victim Juana González Marten suffered a short penetrating wound in the left hemithorax that caused her death, as recorded in the body removal report No. 82875 and Autopsy No. SDO-A-0366-2024, of dated April 11, 2024 and carried out by forensic doctors from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The Public Ministry has legally classified the events as a violation of articles 265, 266, 295, 296, 297, 298, 302 and 379 of the Dominican Penal Code, which typify the association of criminals, homicide and aggravated robbery.
The prosecution body continues with the proceedings to capture the co-accused Erickson Felipe Martínez and proceed with the corresponding judicial process.
