The relatives of the missing passengers in the Mantaro River since last Saturday blocked the central highway with stones and burned tires, in order to demand the authorities to help in the search for their loved ones.

The photographs of the five victims lead the demonstration that takes place in Km 6.00 of the road. Family members expressed their discontent with the work done so far by rescuers, since, due to lack of resources, they have not been able to carry out an adequate search.

Therefore, they require the central and local government to meet their demands. “We are here for five days, without eating, in the cold; We do not ask much, just help us in the search, ”said one of the missing brothers.
