The bar ‘La Noche de Barranco’ issued a statement through its social networks about the incident that occurred in its premises last Sunday, August 4, where Congressmen Patricia Chirinos and Luis Aragón were expelled by some attendees who rejected the presence of both parliamentarians. In the publication they reported that they have collaborated with the images from the security cameras requested by the Municipality of Barranco and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“On Sunday, August 4th at approximately 02:35 hours, some customers, to notice the presence at a table of the Congressmen of the Republic, Patricia Chirinos and Luis Aragon, began to raise their voicesshouting at them, demanding that they leave,” reads the beginning of the statement. According to the establishment, the security and table service staff acted in a manner quickly forming a security cordon around the congressmen to protect them. “A customer threw a glass, which fortunately did not cause any damage,” they added. Regarding the incident, the administration of La Noche emphasized that within its principles is the nondiscrimination and no tolerance to violence, stating that their staff acted quickly to protect the congressmen. They also pointed out that within democracy there can be differences, but they urged people to find mechanisms to ‘express opinions and disagreements in a respectful and non-violent manner’. What happened to Congresswoman Patricia Chirinos?
The Congress men Patricia Chirinos and Luis Aragón experienced an awkward incident at the bar ‘La Noche de Barranco’, when they were consuming inside the establishment.
