Indeed, the tragedy claimed the life of Santiago Aldaz Garcia30-year-old flight instructor; Mayt Jimenez Barreto19 years old; Fabiana Hernandez Beard18-year-old student; and Boris Corrales Vasquez24-year-old aircraft mechanic.
Yesterday, the family of Mayt Jimenez Barretoa young student and prospective pilot, arrived at the exact spot where the search began a year ago. Nataly Dealbert, Mayt’s lover, expressed her indignation that the school had only slightly changed its image and doubted that there had been a change of owners and directors.
“We need this to be clarified. They, as a company, should also be putting pressure on the authorities, sending letters and documents requesting the search for the plane and Boris’ body. Not even a year has passed and the company is back in business. We want to find the truth and ensure that these four lost lives are not in vain,” Indian.

“I have called the company, trying to speak to the owner of the school and get information, but there is no response. I hear that the school is operating again as if nothing had happened. I don’t know how much the authorities are doing and why they are allowing the school to operate even though the investigation has not been completed,” he said.
Pardo Torres was also in Huanchaco yesterday to commemorate the anniversary of this fatality. He said that, so far, everything seems to have been manipulated. “At least they should have waited for this investigation to end,” he added, thus questioning the lack of transparency and the speed with which the school resumed its activities in Chiclayo and Trujillo.
Investigation
Lawyer Elfri Navarretein an interview with Diario Correo, revealed that the case was on the verge of being archived on two occasions.
“The civil aviation law is clear. Whoever is in charge of the school will have to make every effort to exhaust the search. Nothing was ever done, no coordination, we did it with private boats and unfortunately we were unable to locate the ship.”said Navarrete, legal defender of the family of the pilot and flight instructor Santiago Aldaz García and the Jiménez Barreto family.
