The High Complexity clinic in San Juan del Cesar stopped receiving and treating patients due to a debt of more than $30,000 million.

In dialogue with La FM, Adriana Dazamedical coordinator of the clinic, explained that the measure was taken due to the millionaire debt that the insurer has maintained for more than a year the impossibility of reaching a conciliation table with the entity’s controller.

“The clinic stopped providing services to patients oncological, renal, with orphan diseases and those who require high cost caredue to the lack of resources to pay suppliers and keep essential services operational. Currently, there are 23 kidney patients affiliated with the New EPS who cannot continue with their interday dialysiswhich represents a critical risk to your health”, indicated the medical coordinator.
Users also express their discontent and concern due to the situation that the New EPS is going through, as indicated Carmen Hinojosa.

“I feel too worried. They suspended the service. I approach the New EPS and they don’t give me an answer: I should wait a week, I should wait two. Nothing has been possible and I am very worried”, he denounced.
The FM learned that the San Juan Bautista High Complexity Clinic has a outstanding debt exceeding 30,000 million pesoswhile the total sum owed to the group amounts to more than 200,000 million.
The medical coordinator, Adriana Dazareiterated a urgent call to the National Government: “This situation not only affects the health of thousands of users, it also puts the work of thousands of families at stake. We need an immediate solution“he noted.
