AREQUIPA, Peru – Forces from the Ministry of the Interior and the Fire Department in Cienfuegos went this Sunday to extinguish a fire that originated in the “La Francia Moderna” store, owned by the CIMEX SA Corporation, on the central Boulevard of the city.

Thanks to the quick action of the workers and firefighters, there is no loss of human life or injuries, although there are significant economic losses.
Everything indicates that the cause of the fire was caused by a short circuit in an air conditioning unit. At this time, authorities continue investigating to clarify other details of the incident.
“The determined attitude of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring homes and causing greater losses,” the note states.

According to preliminary reports, the fire was caused by the explosion of an electrical transformer installed on the façade of the building. Although the images show smoke and visible damage on the exterior, no significant damage is apparently reported inside the editorial headquarters.
The fire team, along with security personnel, worked to extinguish the flames and secure the area. In the images captured at the scene, several passers-by and onlookers can be seen observing the scene, while the firefighters They proceeded to handle the situation.
