In a ceremony celebrating the effort and dedication of meritorious students, Cooperativa La Altagracia (CLA) awarded 2,000 vouchers of $2,500.00 pesos each to meritorious students.
This activity, which took place in the amphitheater of Santiago’s Central Park (donated by Cooperativa La Altagracia) brought together educational leaders, cooperators and community members.
The event began with an “opening” by the young artist Robert Guzman, “La Voz”. This was followed by the welcoming remarks by the master of ceremonies, Masiel Suero. The activity was placed in the hands of the Almighty by the young Azael Francisco, member of the Young Cooperatives Commission.
Rafael Narciso Vargas, president of The Altagracia Cooperativereaffirmed the cooperative’s commitment to the education and development of future generations, celebrating the achievements of the schoolchildren and encouraging everyone to continue their efforts.
In addition to congratulating the students for this achievement, he highlighted the investment made in this delivery of bonuses for academic excellence of five million pesos (RD$5,000,000.00).
Luis Cristóbal Román, member of the FECOOPCEN Board of Directors, gave a few words of inspiration and recognition. Román highlighted the importance of rewarding excellence and the commitment of students to their studies.
Carlos Indalecio, representing the Regional Education Department, also gave an emotional speech, highlighting the fundamental role played by educational institutions and support programs in the academic and personal development of young people. Indalecio expressed his gratitude to Cooperativa La Altagracia for its continued support of education.
During the ceremony, in addition to the bonuses, special recognition was given to 63 students for their excellent grades.

In a touching moment, Yasmeiry Collado, a student from the Tamboril District, spoke on behalf of her classmates to express her gratitude. Collado shared how the support received through the vouchers not only reinforces her academic commitment, but also inspires her classmates to reach new goals and “continue preparing, because the youth is not lost, we are the present and the future.”
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt applause and a reaffirmation of the commitment of Cooperativa La Altagracia to the promotion of education and the recognition of student efforts. This event underlines the importance of supporting and motivating young people to continue their path towards academic excellence.
Cooperativa La Altagracia has a broad educational program that includes not only the delivery of bonuses, but also university scholarships, school notebooks, conferences, cultural scholarships…, which exceed thirty million pesos.
