Ukraine, (EFE).- The Minister of Defense of UkraineOleksei Reznikov, announced on Monday the arrival in that country of a battery of Aspide anti-aircraft missiles supplied by the Army of the Spanish Air and Space.
“Look who’s here! The NASAMS and Aspide air defense systems have arrived in Ukraine », Reznikov announced on his Twitter account, referring to the war equipment provided by the United States and Spain.
“These weapons will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian Army and make our skies safer. We will continue to shoot down the targets of the enemy attacking us,” the defense minister added.
Reznikov also thanked the allied countries that are supplying weapons, including Spain, for their support.
On the occasion of the visit to kyiv of the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, announced last week that Spain was preparing to deliver a battery of the Aspide missile system, as well as four Hawk anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank missile systems, guns and ammunition.
Also last week the Pentagon announced the delivery of a package of eight NASAMS air defense systems, two of which were scheduled to be delivered in the near future.
