The Minister of Economy and Finance, Kurt Burneo, said Monday that economic growth is urgently needed to encourage public policies that provide more opportunities for Peruvians.
Along these lines, he called on the officials of his sector to achieve the objectives set, such as improving the country’s competitiveness, stabilizing public finances and consolidating economic growth.
During his participation in the transfer ceremony with his predecessor, Oscar Grahamthe head of the MEF explained that it is important to support the economic growth of the country in the current circumstances because this will intensify the effect of public policies that seek to create greater equality of opportunities for all Peruvians.
“A large part of what I have come to do is continue these objectives, which are fundamental, but to persevere, everyone’s help is needed.”, remarked Kurt Burneo addressing the officials and collaborators of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

“The context is different, and one of the first challenges I set myself for this management is to make political events go their way and economic events on the other“, I note.
Officials from the FEM and the heads of the agencies attached to the sector: Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV), the National Superintendence of Tax Administration (Sunat), the Supervising Agency for State Procurement (OSCE), the Pension Normalization Office (ONP), the Private Investment Promotion Agency (Proinversión) and the Public Procurement Center (Perú Compras).
