Mayor of Adolfo Gonzales Chaves: “It must be the first time that Rodríguez Larreta sees a tractor”

The mayor of the Buenos Aires party of Adolfo Gonzales Chaves, Marcelo Santillán, referred this Monday to the “tractor hit” of ruralists carried out during the weekend in Plaza de Mayo, said that “there are no reasons” for the protest or to carry it out in the city of Buenos Aires and questioned the opposition figures who were part of the claim, including the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, of whom he said that “it must be the first time he sees a tractor.”

“There is no reason or justification for making that statement or expressing it in the Federal Capital. I think the opposition continues with unreasonable policies, social movements are criticized when they make cuts, but this type of attitude is justified. We have to agree and, if one is repudiated, let them all be repudiated”, considered the communal chief.

In statements to Radio Provincia, Santillán questioned the support of leaders of Together for Change (JxC), mostly from the PRO, such as Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Diego Santilli, Patricia Bullrich and María Eugenia Vidal, for the ruralistas’ claim.

“It must be the first time that Rodríguez Larreta or Patricia Bullrich see a tractor,” said the mayor.

The leaders of JxC were present last Saturday at one of the points of the call, on Avenida del Libertador and Udaondo, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez, where tractors from different parts of the country gathered to march towards the Plaza de May.

“I agree with reducing public spending, but let’s start reducing spending in the Federal Capital. When you see this, they are the looters of the country and they stand next to those who produce; it’s crazy,” Santillán said. .

In addition, the mayor of Adolfo Gonzales Chaves -a party located in the southeast of the province of Buenos Aires, 450 kilometers away from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires- said that those who participated in the march “complain about the increase in withholdings and the rise in withholdings is not even being discussed”.

The communal chief stated that the Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, “spoke of a tax on unforeseen income” and, regarding that proposal, said that “we must charge those who escaped the money.”

“I have no doubt that, for those of us who are Peronists, this is the path,” said Santillán.

Meanwhile, on the extraordinary income, he said that it is something “that the world is debating.”

“I am convinced that the world has to decide if we are going to grow with a war or with peace, and that extraordinary income does not have to be received by the State or anyone else, it has to go to those affected by that conflict,” he added. .
