Krupskaia Beraún assumes the presidency of the Regional Anti-Corruption Commission in Huánuco

In a show of institutional unity and commitment to transparency, the plenary session of the Huánuco Regional Anti-Corruption Commission (CRAH) recently unanimously elected lawyer Krupskaia Jesmidlu Beraún Aguirre as president of this organization for the period 2026.

The appointment was made during the ordinary session chaired by Alberto Alaín Berger Vigueras, head of the Superior Court of Justice of Huánuco and outgoing president of the commission. Beraún Aguirre, who currently works as Decentralized Anti-Corruption Public Prosecutor of Huánuco, will assume leadership of the CRAH with the aim of strengthening inter-institutional coordination in the fight against corruption in the region.

After his election, Beraún Aguire, thanked the members of the plenary session for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to continue and reinforce preventive and sanctioning strategies. “We will continue the line of work of this commission, reaffirming a firm commitment to the frontal fight against corruption throughout the Huánuco region,” he said.

The CRAH session had the participation of authorities, including Congresswoman Elizabeth Medina Hermosilla, the Regional Vice Governor, the Regional Prefect, representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office, the Public Ministry, the Chamber of Commerce, Christian churches and neighborhood associations, consolidating a broad and multisectoral front for this year.

The CRAH operates under the framework of Supreme Decree 169-2021, which establishes the guidelines for the operation of regional commissions, guaranteeing the monitoring of public ethics and the correct use of State resources.
