The Ministry of Education and Science extends the invitation of the National Institute for International Education of the Republic of Korea (NIIED) to the “Global Korea Scholarship- Year 2023” program, aimed at Paraguayan students interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in the Asian country .
The call has an application deadline of October 6, 2022. The scholarship offer contemplates a duration of 4 to 6 years, in addition to a year of preliminary language course.
Requirements
Being of Paraguayan nationality and not having parents of Korean nationality;
Be under 25 years of age (born after March 1, 1998);
GKS Application Form for undergraduate studies, completed in English, including:
Personal data (Form 1);
Presentation Essay (Form 2);
Study plan (Form 3);
1 (one) letter of recommendation (Form 4);
Commitment document (Form 5);
Medical self-assessment. (Form 6). Eligible applicants with a disability also qualify for the scholarship;
One (1) high school graduation diploma;
One (1) Middle level study certificate;
One (1) birth certificate of the applicant and his parents.
One (1) copy of awards received (optional).
A copy of the TOPIK Korean Language Certificate (optional).
One (1) copy of English Language Certificate (preferably TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS).
One (1) copy of the passport. (for those who go to the 2nd round).

Selection Preference:
– Applicants who speak Korean and English;
– Applicants in the science and engineering career.
Observations:
Those who are still pursuing their high school studies must present a certificate indicating the date of future graduation and then submit the official graduation certificate until February 28, 2023.
Students who have participated in study programs at a Korean university (undergraduate, master’s, doctorate, etc.) are not eligible to apply.
The documents must be sorted according to the check list provided and filed in a large envelope.
Applicants who pass the first round of selection and are invited for an interview will be asked for original documents.

Friday, September 23, 2022 (3:00 p.m.): Informative talk about the scholarship program virtually.
Thursday, October 6, 2022: Document delivery closing (FORM 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9);
Friday, October 7, 2022: Announcement of students classified for interview;
Monday, October 10, 2022: Formal interview evaluation;
Tuesday, October 11, 2022: Announcement of scholarship finalist students;
Tuesday, October 25, 2022: Closing of reception of documents that are missing from the finalist students.
