Arnaud explained during the visit of the agencies that Constanza is a special ecosystem and that, motivated by the circumstances of its population growth, the little territorial space and the food demand push this locality to produce under protected environment.

He indicated that, with an extension of some 60,000 cultivable tasks, the inhabitants have modified their production methods, together with a high competition for land for production and urbanization; all this, at the expense of the effects of climate change and population growth, which indicate the need to redesign and seek new alternatives to maintain their productive level.

Currently, Korean agricultural cooperation to the country is channeled through the office of Kopia RD and supports technological development in rice, potato, sweet potato, tomato and pepper crops.

Additionally, interest has been identified in collaborating in the improvement of degraded soils, as well as the management of pests and diseases in tropical crops.
