Santo Domingo – The Mayor’s Office of the National District District (DNA), the National Institute of Traffic and Land Transport (Intrant) and the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (digestett), reported that they will implement this Monday the pilot plan “Parquéate Bien” in the National District.
Said plan consists in that drivers will not be able to park in parallel in streets in which such action is prohibited, which in a first stage will be 13.
In other words, the Digesett will inspect drivers who violate the measure that establishes parking in one direction, as stipulated in Law 63-17.
As part of “Parquéate Bien”, the 13 streets of the first stage of this pilot are marked with an X in relation to the places where drivers will be able to park in the future, thus promoting better mobility and decongesting the roads.
In its first stage, the “Parquéate Bien” pilot covers the streets:

- Jose Amado Soler
- Street 5
- Paul Casalas
- Manuel Henrique

According to a press release from Intrant, users who have their vehicles towed, after violating the established provisions, will be able to pick them up from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Tempo Parking Lot, Tiradentes Avenue. #17, Naco sector.
In that same order, during the first 15 days, drivers will only have to pay the fine for the infraction of parking in prohibited places, and after the deadline, they will have to pay both the fine and the tow truck that tows them.
