Among the events scheduled on the municipal agenda is the Surprise Carnival in La Mariscal.
The carnival holiday It’s one of the longest of the year: this year starts from 26 of February and ends the first of March. Monday and Tuesday will be mandatory days off for the entire country, in addition to the previous Saturday and Sunday.
In Quito one has been prepared schedule for those who will not leave the city those days or choose the capital as their stopover holiday.
One of the main activities will be the ‘Surprise Carnival’ at La Mariscal, on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27, 2022. It will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
There will also be the ‘Carnival Glow’, which will take place Saturday February 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m..

In the Gabriela Mistral, de las Culturas, El Quinde, Borja Yerovi, de los Presidentes squares and in the Arco de la Circasiana there will be music, typical characters, radiant costumes and light decoration.
The objective is to promote the reactivation of this area. Precisely, the authorities indicated that they hope that with the carnival calendar exceed the 45 thousand people that the city received in 2021 and that represented $450 thousand dollars of income in tourist establishments and activities.
