Two members of the criminal organization founded by Wilexis Acevedo (El Wilexis) were killed in zone 6 of the José Félix Ribas neighborhood, Petare, Sucre municipality (Miranda), according to police sources.
Agents attached to the Unit against Criminal Gangs of the Bolivarian National Police acted in the procedure, who confronted the followers of El Wilexis. It was there that two of the subjects known by the nicknames of Yonaiker El Chacal and El Vecino were killed.
At the end of the scuffle, officials collected two 9mm Astra 9mm and Px4 pistols from the site, according to the preliminary report.
The Wilexis gang participated in the hours before Operation Gideon, carried out in May 2020 as a violent way to displace the government of President Nicolás Maduro.
In the previous days, members of El Wilexis fired bursts in sectors of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood, as a way of distracting the security organizations, as revealed after the failed coup attempt by one of those implicated, identified as José Alberto Socorro Hernández, whose testimony was released by President Nicolás Maduro.
