A member of the criminal structure that operated at Cota 905 was killed during a confrontation with agents of the Bolivarian National Police, according to sources from the citizen security agency.
The confrontation occurred in the upper part of Cota 905, where 25-year-old Henderson Yoneyker Tovar Gil (El Bananin) was badly injured, who was transferred to the Miguel Pérez Carreño hospital where he died.
At the time of the scuffle, El Bananin fired a special 38 caliber Smith Wesson revolver which was collected by police officers.
The subject had two criminal files open: 16-2220-01269 substantiated in the El Paraíso Delegation of the Cicpc for the crime of robbery and the other, K-20-0479-00077, due to homicide and robbery that occurred on 02/19/ 2020 on the South Highway, downtown, adjacent to the tunnel that connects to the El Valle parish.
El Bananin was one of the main assistants of Garbys Ochoa, alias El Garbys, who in turn was part of the top brass of that criminal structure that operated at Cota 905 and which was evicted in July 2021 with the execution of the Operation Grand Cacique Guaicaipuro I.
Since last year, alias El Garbys has wanted to reconquer Cota 905 for the distribution of drugs, among other criminal acts. This project has been stopped by the PNB, a security force that occupied a property that belonged to Garbys at Cota 905 and where the Directorate against Organized Crime now operates.
