A mixed police-military commission was deployed in sectors of the José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico state, where a member of the criminal group El Jobo, cell of the criminal organization Tren del Llano, according to military sources.
The deployment took place in the Tricentennial sector where the uniformed officers sighted a subject who started an exchange of shots. It is there when the man was shot down and later identified as Cristóbal Antonio Laya Itriago (El Jobo).
The police-military commission remains deployed in the mentioned municipality of Guariqueño to find the capture of the other members of the Tren del Llano cell.
Altagracia de Orituco is the headquarters of the Tren del Llano, an organization dedicated to kidnapping, assassination, drug sales and collection of vaccines against agricultural producers in that municipality, according to investigations.
This mega-gang is led by Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández (El Pipi), who has his base of operations in the Caramacate, Orocollal and Macaira sectors, a mountainous area that borders the Guanapito dam.
Recently the mayor of Altagracia de Orituco, Pedro Solorzanooffered an interview to Últimas Noticias where he stated that “there are factors interested in keeping the Tren del Llano.”
