The Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) dismantled the criminal organization called ‘New Dawn’ who was in charge of kidnapping and murdering the fish farmer Guido Anagua Colque, in the municipality of Entre Ríos, in the department of Cochabamba.
Eight people were arrested in this operation in which also Five vehicles and three firearms were seized, after 10 homes in Entre Ríos were raided, which were visited by Nabor López Herbas, who is in prison for leading a gang that carried out at least eight kidnappings in the Cochabamba tropics.
“It has been possible to identify 10 addresses, places that were frequented by Nabor López. This network, which has been identified as his collaborators, had in their possession the documentation of Mr. Nabor López,” reported the Vice Minister of Internal Affairs and Police, Jhonny Aguilera.
The eight people arrested were identified as: Hilda OA, Pedro YC, Sabina CC, Cinthia VC, Rodrigo MP, Juan Carlos FM Nelcy ZM and Bernardo PM, who allegedly had direct links with the main leaders of a network of kidnappers which was dismantled at the beginning of the year and was led by Nabor López Herbas and Ariel Villarroel Calle.
During the raids, the police seized three cell phones, three firearms (among them They are a military weapon)three laptops and three fake license plates made by hand.
The military weapon has the same characteristics of the 30 automatic rifles assault rifles, model AR-10, caliber 7.62 millimeters, which were seized by the Special Force Against Drug Trafficking (Felcn) on April 19, in Santa Cruz.
“A few months ago we carried out an intervention in the city of Santa Cruz, where a criminal organization was dismantled dedicated to arms trafficking. The weapon was used when the Bolivian Police came to recover a vehicle that had been stolen and was in the possession of one of the people arrested,” he explained without giving further details.
Kidnapping
According to the Felcc report, The kidnapping took place on August 2 in the town of Cotoca from Entre Ríos when Guido Anagua Colque was heading, with his nephew Roger O. and two workers, to his field to feed his fish and bring fuel for his machinery.
On the way, the fish farmer stopped at a store to buy oil for his vehicle. There he was intercepted by a motorcyclist who was following him and got out. Four armed hooded men, who fired several shots. Roger O. was shot twice: once in the lung and once in a rib.
The shots alerted the population of Entre Ríos; the inhabitants of the area called the police and helped to assist the wounded man, andtake him to a hospital in Yapacaní, in the department of Santa Cruz.
However, no one could do anything to rescue the fish farmer, as he was beaten and forced into the hooded men’s vehicle, who They fled in an unknown direction.
The kidnappers asked for a large sum of money to release him and the fish farmer’s family, Without reporting it to the police, they handed over Bs 70,000The kidnappers contacted the family through two telephone lines registered in Brazil and Colombia,
Despite the reward paid with a loan from a financial institution, the kidnappers did not release Guido Anagua Colque and he was found dead on August 7, in a wooded area, five kilometers from the Ichoa River, Entre Ríos.
According to the forensic medical examination, Anagua was subjected to a series of traumas, among them the dismemberment of their genitals.
At the moment, the police are going following in the footsteps of four other people who also participated in the crime.
