The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, said this Saturday that with his peers from the Governors Leaguein the meeting that was held this Friday in the Buenos Aires government, spoke in favor of the “necessary measures that are taken” with the aim of “improving income and having greater price stability.”

“Our objectives consist of defending production and work,” he said, adding that “there we have observed the employment indicators presented by the Minister of the Economy, Sergio Massa, and they show that the labor situation has improved a lot,” he added.

Along these lines, he stressed that they spoke “to support the necessary measures that are taken with the aim of improving income and having greater price stability.”

About the meeting

The third game of the Governors League brought together Gildo Insfrán (Formosa), Gustavo Melella (Tierra del Fuego), Gustavo Bordet (Entre Ríos), Sergio Raúl Ziliotto (La Pampa), Osvaldo Jaldo (Tucumán), Alberto Rodríguez Saá (San Luis), Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero), Ricardo Quintela (La Rioja), Jorge Capitanich (Chaco), Sergio Uñac (San Juan), and Rubén Dusso, Deputy Governor of Catamarca to replace Raúl Jalil, and Eugenio Quiroga, Deputy Governor of Santa Cruz to replace Alicia Kirchner.

Asked about the link with the new economy minister, Kicillof indicated that “both with Massa and with all the members of the coalition, we have ongoing conversations and exchanges regarding the experiences that each one of us has had.”

“With the responsibility of representing almost 40% of Argentine men and women, the entire team in the province has the permanent vocation to collaborate and lend a hand,” he stressed in that regard.

Likewise, the governor valued “the measures that had to be taken to quickly attend to an emergency linked to the financial sector.”

“Throughout the country, and in the province in particular, we came from a stage of salary adjustment, both in the private and public sectors, despite the enormous debt contracted in pesos and dollars,” he stressed and added: ” We consider appropriate any measure aimed at protecting the purchasing power of workers in the most effective way possible.”

On the other hand, Kicillof stated that “in the province of Buenos Aires we have infrastructure works in all the districts, without looking at the political affiliation of the municipal authorities” and affirmed that “we are carrying out the 6 by 6 Plan for reconstruction and transformation of each one of the areas and in all the territory of the province”.

The governor also thanked on his Twitter profile the work of the Minister of Economy, which made it possible for the province of Buenos Aires to sign a loan contract for an amount of US$75 million financed by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). ), which will be allocated to the construction of 21 new educational establishments and 50 expansion and renovation works.

“Thanks to the efforts of Minister Sergio Massa, we have new financing to continue with the improvements in school infrastructure that we have been making with #EscuelasALaObra,” he said, adding: “The best results are always with joint work.”
