Kicillof: "We take care that more Buenos Aires residents have the right to a home guaranteed"

Kicillof stressed that since they took over the province they have dealt with “the housing problem that the province of Buenos Aires has.”

The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, said this Tuesday that since he took office he has “dealt with the housing problem” and that he works so that “more Buenos Aires residents have the guaranteed right to a home”, referring to the delivery of homes in the Pellegrini district.

“Congratulations to the families of Pellegrini for their new home!” The Buenos Aires president said on his Twitter profile, sharing a publication by the Minister of Habitat and Urban Development, Agustín Simone, in which he reported that 18 new homes had been delivered. a plan of 36.

Along these lines, Kicillof stressed that since they took office in the provincial administration they have dealt with “the housing problem that the province of Buenos Aires has so that more people from Buenos Aires have the guaranteed right to a home, the right to the future.”

The delivery of homes took place this Tuesday and was led by Simone and Mayor Guillermo Pacheco.

“We want more families to have access to their own home and the only way to achieve this is by building more homes,” said the minister.

Simone, although he clarified that this is not an “easy” task, stressed that they undertook “the commitment to start up more than 11,000 homes in 2022 and start 10,000 more each year throughout the province, promoting more works that guarantee this right fundamental”.

In Pellegrini, the planned neighborhood will have 36 homes: 18 were delivered this Tuesday and the rest are under construction. For the work, the Province invested more than $187 million.

At the end of the first year of the Ministry’s management, 227 works were started for the construction of 11,697 homes with provincial funds and another 24,090 with national funds.

Pacheco stressed that the houses “are the product of joint work between the Province and the Municipality” and stressed that “the end of the work was reached without problems and work is already being done on the progress of the other 18 that the Minister visited.”

As in each housing delivery, the families received seedlings for gardens and native plants from Buenos Aires that the Provincial Agency for Social and Urban Integration (OPISU)under the Ministry of Habitat and Urban Development, with the aim of promoting care for the environment from home.

In the same way, from the Provincial Cultural Institute and the Ministry of National Culture, libraries with books were delivered acquired in various Buenos Aires publishers, as well as paintings with replicas of different works of art, curated by the Emilio Petorutti Provincial Museum of Fine Arts.
