The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, stressed that he came to office to reverse “four years of adjustment, abandonment and deterioration”, while maintaining that “the economic recovery was not the work of chance, but of public policies, concrete measures carried out and result of the efforts of our people, because no one is saved alone”.
Giving his speech at the opening of ordinary sessions before the Legislative Assembly of Buenos Aires, Kicillof stated that his administration financed “works for the 135 municipalities, with projects that were defined by each municipal government.”
“Two years and three months ago we assumed the Government of the province with the mandate to reverse four years of adjustment, abandonment and deterioration,” the president recalled when criticizing the management of María Eugenia Vidal.
And he added: “We came to work tirelessly and honestly to rebuild and transform the province.”
Kicillof pondered that “thanks to the initiatives promoted by the national and provincial government” it was possible to “cushion the harsh social, labor and economic impact of the pandemic” of coronavirus, “contributing to the economic recovery experienced last year surpassing all expectations”.
Along these lines, he stated that “during the next two years of our government, all resources and efforts will be aimed at repairing, rebuilding and transforming.”
In addition, he thanked the provincial Legislature for having sanctioned two “tools” such as the 2022 Budget and the Tax Law.
“The province has infinite potential and we have the obligation to provide it with the infrastructure it requires. We finance works for the 135 municipalities, with projects that were defined by each municipal government,” he remarked.
