Last week, Congressman José Jerí had to give his discharges to the members of his bench in Somos Peru.
However, the legislator – who possesses the suspended militancy – told them that this week the results of the legal medicine exams will be known, and that he will give a copy to his colleagues to make a decision on the case.
If the results of the medical expertise determine that sexual abuse would have occurred, Jerí will be separated from the bench.
And if the expert opinion goes out in his favor, and frees him with responsibility, he will continue in his parliamentary group.
“We are waiting for the results of the Legal Medicine exams (which the Prosecutor’s Office will deliver to the congressman Jerí),” he said to Peru21 The spokesman for the bench of Somos Peru, Héctor Valer.
Ethics armor

The ten congressmen who supported the decision of the head of Ethics were: Rosangella Barbarán, Cruz Zeta and Héctor Ventura, of Popular Force; Nelcy Heindinger and Jorge Marticorena, from APP; Ezra Medina, of popular renewal; Kira Alcarraz, by Podemos; Elvis Vergara, of Popular Action; Margot Palacios, not grouped; and Kelly Portalatino, from Peru Libre.
This armor took place in less than two weeks, after a suspicious fact occurred on January 23 when eight legislators were missing, and when the session was left without quorum, it had to be suspended.
At the end of the day, Paredes, in their attempt to justify their shielding to Jerí, told journalists that legislators cannot be processed by the events they commit on weekends outside the offices of the Legislative Palace.
“You can’t judge any official for their acts (committed) every Saturday and Sunday,” he said.
Walk to citizenship
Paredes pointed out, at another time, that he will only meet this week with the prosecutor of the nation, Delia Espinoza, to ask for information on the progress of the investigations of the Jerí case, because, according to him, he has requested it in writing, but he has not responded.
