The American actor Kevin Spacey was charged this Thursday in the United Kingdom with four counts of assault and sexual abuse against three men in events that occurred between March 2005 and April 2013, in what is a new episode in the series of accusations against him in recent years.
According to the AFP agency, the accusations of the Crown prosecutor’s office are based on “a review of evidence collected by the london police“in the investigation of the complaint of the different alleged victims.
The prosecution announced that it had “authorized criminal proceedings against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault on three men,” he explained. Rosemary Ainslie, head of the special crimes division in Londonadding: “He was also charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without their consent.”

All the accusations correspond to the time when Spacey artistically directed the Old Vic theater in London. Years later, when lawsuits against the actor began to emerge in the US, an internal investigation of the theater collected “20 testimonies of alleged inappropriate behavior” that had not come to light.
