Mercedes Canese, an expert in energy issues, clarified that the rate reduction will not be automatic in 2023. In other words, without the agreement of the Paraguayans, it will not occur.

But this reduction will open the doors for it to continue decreasing and this would mean that it will reach US $ 25 MW / h (G. 172,000) in 2023.
Taking into account that the market price is US $ 191 per MW / h (official data from Brazil from June to October), the loss of our country per year (from 2023) onwards will be US $ 600 million per year .
