The Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, affirmed that the level of works in execution throughout the country will be maintained, and stressed that this activity “generates employment, moves the economy and generates quality of life for people.”
“There is a very clear decision that is to sustain this engine that was and is public works; in these three consecutive years there has not been a single day that we have not launched a public work, which generates employment, moves the economy and generates quality of life for people,” Katopodis said in statements to radio station La Red.
He pointed out that “It is a decision of the President, the entire government team and the Ministry, to sustain and maintain the level of public works, with more than 450,000 jobs and more than 5,000 works”.
“No public works have been stopped, none has payment or certification problems, so we are going to continue promoting this agenda throughout the country,” the minister remarked.
Likewise, he maintained: “We are in a position to execute the entire budget that was projected at 5,000 works in the country.” And he added: “We are working with the governors and mayors to optimize each of the investments in this context”.
Katopodis said that work is being done to “articulate, with provincial and municipal financing, a dynamic that allows public works not to stop.”
“In Argentina, good years are ahead, to reach those good years, much of what we are doing is needed, the routes, the gas pipeline, a State at the forefront of development, an active industrial SME network,” he concluded.
