The congresswoman accused the government of President Gustavo Petro of killing minorities. Miranda was dissatisfied with one of the key points of the reform regarding to the establishment of closed lists for collegiate bodies.
Political reform just crossed a RED line!
Eliminates the protection of minorities from the political constitution.
The inconsistency of a government that claims to be change hurts a lot

Given the proposal that is being debated in Congress, Miranda assured: “He is in pain, shame, and deep disappointment. I was part of the debate leadership of the Gustavo Petro campaign. I helped get Gustavo Petro elected. And it hurts me deeply that in this government, with your endorsement, they are killing minorities in this country. It is embarrassing, it is painful and, unfortunately, I have to tell the country that this is not what I, and millions of Colombians voted for, to end minorities“.
Finally, the Chamber of Commerce did not approve this proposal, which was one of the central axes of the proposal. For now, closed and parity lists were approved.
