“X if we return”, the long-awaited and explosive collaboration between Karol G and Romeo Santos premiered last night on all digital music platforms.
Romeo’s participation was thought last year.
Karol heard “Today is sex night” in the car one day and knew that this was the tone that he needed to introduce in his new single.
The song, produced by Ovy on the Drums, is part of the urban singer’s new album. Karol G, the paisa, titled her album “Tomorrow will be beautiful.”
It is a sensual reggaeton bebop in which both lament the failure of a relationship, although leaving the door open.
«X Si volvemos» arrived preceded by several videos of «La Bichota» and «El Rey de la Bachata».
She posted on her Instagram: “I finally announce the project to which I have dedicated so much love and time. I only know that for me and for everyone: Tomorrow will be beautiful”.
Meanwhile, he wrote on his Instagram: “Our love is screwed up, but what a feeling… when the troubles end in bed.”
The musical cut recreates the story of a couple that doesn’t work in love, but does in sex.
«We did not work, we gave everything, but it was not given to us. With that we leave, but before we go…. Let’s do it one last time, baby. Not in love, but in bed we understand each other,” says one of the verses of the song.
“Mañana será bonito” will follow “KG0516,” her Grammy-nominated 2021 album, which gave Karol her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
Most recently, the “Provence” singer peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s annual Top Latin Artists – Female summary in 2022 for the fourth consecutive year.
She was also ranked second on the overall Top Latin Artists list, where she was the only female in the Top 10.
