The defense of Karina Oliva and six other former members of the Comunes party filed a protection appeal before the Court of Appeals of Santiago, for their expulsion from the party.

“This action disturbs, illegally and arbitrarily, the rights of the appellants, guaranteed in article 19 No. 3, paragraph 5, of the Political Constitution of the Republic, this is the ‘right not to be tried by special commissions ‘”.
