The round was led by Capital Tribe and co-lided by Pelion Ventures, with the participation of and Combinator, Marbruck Ventures and True Arrow.
“The new capital will accelerate the construction of the unified financial ecosystem of Kapital Grupo Financiero, based on AI, designed to maximize the performance of companies in the region,” the company said in a statement.
Kapital, who in 2023 bought Banco Autofin, stressed that since its inception it was built as a technology -based bank, structured from scratch as financial infrastructure, and not as an institution inherited with fragmented platforms.
In a recent interview with ExpansionRené Saúl, CEO and co -founder of Kapital Bank, said this system was key for the authorities to decide to grant the Intercam business.
“It has allowed developing products natively, as well as acquiring traditional financial institutions, dismantling their obsolete infrastructure and rebuilding them on their own platform,” the bank added in a statement.
Having this technological efficiency has allowed greater margins, greater permanence of customers and lower loss rates compared to the Fintech that do not have a bank license or their own infrastructure.
