“In recent months, I have seriously considered asking the people of California the privilege of being their governor. I love this state, its people and their promise. It is my home,” Harris wrote in a statement released through his X account.
Harris added that “after a deep reflection, I have decided that I will not apply for governor in these elections. ”
He added that at the moment his vocation of public service will not go through elected positions.
“I hope to go out and listen to the American people, help choose Democrats throughout the country who will fight with courage and share more details about my own plans in the coming months,” he added.
