The Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ) has set up a service station for the seven days of Rock in Rio, an event that began this Friday (13). The mobile base will be located inside the City of Rock, at the Public Bodies Center in the Arena 1 premises of the Olympic Park, on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of September.
In total, 14 judges from the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro will participate in the on-call shift.
Cases of civil and criminal jurisdiction will be handled, such as conflicts with the event organizers, consumer rights, theft, illegal ticket sales and physical violence. In addition to holding custody hearings, which have already been implemented in other editions of the festival, this year the Court will have a Reception Room for women who are victims of violence.
Magistrates have full jurisdiction, except in cases of homicide and crimes involving children and young people.
The Special Court base is set up in an area that also houses the offices of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office and the Civil and Military Police of Rio.
