Three of the seven members of the criminal gang that robbed and sexually abused women in the Mirador de La Guardia, They were placed before a precautionary judge for the second time, and sent preventively to the Palmasola prison, accused of the crime of aggravated rape.
The attorney for the Defender of the municipality of La Guardia, Ana Isabel Rojas, indicated to EL DEBER that the three were denounced for the rape of three young women. “Those involved in the incident are fully identified by their victims, women who, regardless of the danger they were exposing themselves to, went for a walk at the Mirador at 11:00 p.m. on March 21, that’s when Chayán Yépez Paniagua and the brothers Carlos Aurelio and Wilfredo Pérez Manrique commit rape and aggravated robbery,” explained the lawyer.
The prosecutor assigned to the case, Karla Barrónindicated that the three defendants must serve 180 days of preventive detention in the Palmasola prison, while the investigations against them are carried out.
Barrón pointed out that the victims identified the three individuals who attacked her, but among them Ovidio Robles is not herethe ringleader of the gang, who has two sentences against him: one for murder and another for aggravated rape, acts also committed in the Mirador.
