President Alberto Fernández maintained that justice is “delegitimized and urgently needs a profound and democratic reform” and insisted on the need to “rebuild a Federal Justice that respects and enforces constitutional rights,” referring to the publication made by Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, in which she criticized the Supreme Court.
“You can talk about the forms and the video of Cristina Kirchner, but let’s NOT stop debating the problem and looking for a solution. As President, I remain committed to Argentines having honest and independent justice from political and factual powers as we deserve”; the president stated in a thread posted on Twitter.

The President shared the message also published on Twitter by the Vice Presidentin which he criticized the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation and affirmed that there is “a Judicial Power that has become a political party, protector of macrismo and persecutor of the political forces that oppose it”, which places “citizens and citizens on probation”.
In his publication Fernández made a review of various backgrounds, ranging from “the appointment by decree of Carlos Rosenkrantz and Horacio Rosatti”, a decision made by Mauricio Macri and which, according to the president, accounted for “the decision to manipulate justice “by Cambiemos.

Regarding the statement made by the Vice President, regarding that a “sentence has already been written” against her, the President said that “this statement puts in crisis the objectivity of the justice system and the moral suitability of the members of the court“.
“When I wanted to reform the Federal Justice, some did not accompany me. When I spoke about the malfunctioning of the Court I was criticized. They said that I was seeking impunity for certain defendants. Those who said so are the ones who ensure their impunity with this unfortunate system of justice,” added the head of state.
